<\/span>1. Forgiveness is all about me<\/i>. It is about me letting go of my resentment. It doesn’t matter what happened, who did it or how terrible it was. The key word is ‘me’<\/i>.\u00a0 I am the only one who can let go of my resentment. Forgiveness is absolutely, totally and completely an inside job.<\/p>\n

2. In like manner, forgiveness has NOTHING<\/i> to do with the other person. In fact, there is a good chance that other person doesn’t even know he needs forgiving. And it doesn’t matter anyway because eventually we’re going to bypass that other person completely.<\/p>\n

3. Consequently, forgiveness is not something you bestow on someone, or something they earn or deserve. Forgiveness is\u00a0entirely<\/i> a state of mind.
